An opportunity exists within the Des’s Cabs business for a Port Lincoln Taxi Manager
We are looking for someone who is helpful, polite and knowledgeable and who is able to promote a positive image for the industry. Who can lead from the front and drive a taxi from time to time. Enforce company rules and regulations and maintain the standards expected by the company and regulatory bodies.

Reporting directly to the Regional General Manager the purpose of this position will be to:
Maintain a safe workplace in accordance with OH&S policies and procedures
Provide a professional level of service in-line with DPTI rules and regulations
Maintain an effective working roster and the day to day operations of the eleven taxis in the Port Lincoln fleet
Offer leadership, guidance and support wherever needed
Build good working relationships and a good rapport with superiors, colleagues, and drivers within the fleet
Ensure driver support is maintained to company standards
Maintain clear communication between all parties
Monitor, assess and plan Driver recruitment and Training
Ensure appropriate action is taken when breaches in the rules are identified.
Provide support to the Call Centre staff in the management of drivers
Ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained to company standards
Assist with the handling & resolution of Complaints
Maintain and Improve on KPI's
Support our Hertz rent-a-car franchise
Remain flexible to being on call out of hours
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
A full SA drivers licence (essential)
A Small Passenger Vehicle Driver Accreditation and be willing to drive a taxi
A high level of Motivation
Skills in using Microsoft Office products
Time management skills with the ability to prioritise and maintain accurate records
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain key relationships
Have a positive hands on approach to all aspects of the job with excellent problem solving skills
Have a good, sound knowledge of the company's rules and regulations and the Passenger Transport Act.
